Serving Your Communication

"Spoon’s unusual work brought a real creative dimension to our conference."

Guerrilla Theatre

Gossip is a part of work culture. Our Guerrilla Theatre process can help generate the gossip you want people talking about. If you want to raise awareness of an important issue, we'll develop and perform short theatre pieces which can play out in your office or workplace. This creates a buzz that gets people talking. It definitely beats an email for impact and memorability!

  • Broadcast your news in an unforgettable way
  • Highlight key issues
  • Inject some energy and fun in the office

Raising Awareness

We also create office or public interventions to raise awareness of new products or processes created by your organisation. Here are two recent examples:

  • A large publishing house wanted to remind all staff they were re-launching their range of classics. We provided an actress dressed as Jane Austen who walked around the offices quoting the author.
  • We enabled staff at a financial services firm to create a series of paintings that depicted the planned development stages of their department.

Spoon Solutions

We use our own unique process to help you identify and implement solutions to long-standing and complex problems and issues using our interactive scenario process. For more information, click here

Your Story

Want to have an event or conference that will get people talking? We can write and perform a scene, an entire theatre piece or create a short film drama that illustrates your organisation and its challenges. This urges people to engage with your message, business goals and objective - immediately and memorably. If you like, we can help your staff create these pieces themselves.

Recognising Key Contributions

Want to show people you recognise and value them and their work? We can collect information and stories from your staff and create a play, a dinner, a symphony or a mural which represents themselves and their contributions.

Inspirational Communication: The Secrets of Great Speeches

A great speech can transform your next event or conference. This session demonstrates ways you can structure and deliver a uniquely memorable speech or presentation. Learn how to use imagery, metaphor and repetition to reinforce key messages, and create a compelling speech to fully engage your audience.

Story Events

Our interactive Story Events process encourages you to investigate all aspects of your organisation, from its values to its strategic direction, from its current challenges to the way it encourages people to behave and interact. We'll help you identify these, and then show you how they can be realised during an off-site or board retreat during which a group of colleagues actively create a story and perhaps even bring it to life in performance.

Story Event stories are chosen or created in consultation with senior management. They can be well-known or epic stories, or written especially for the event. Recent projects include:

  • Using ‘The 12 Labours of Hercules’ as a metaphor for a building machinery and clothing company’s plans for European expansion (Click here to view a detailed description of this project.) (Connects to p. 51)
  • Using ‘Romeo and Juliet’ to examine hostilities and mutual distrust between two divisions (Editorial and Sales) of a large magazine publisher
  • Creating a bespoke Hero’s Quest to explore issues which resulted from a large corporate restructuring and to embrace the opportunities created by large scale change

By bringing a story to life, Story Event participants have opportunities to practice innovation, spontaneity and teamwork. The success of each project depends on the team’s ability to realise the potential of all its individuals and to work together towards to achieving a shared goal.
